Finally... The zine, has returned!

It's been a while, but I'm hopeful that everyone will find that the wait was well worth it. Yes, this issue was originally promised to be out by the end of May, but Real Life being what it is, it's not always the best laid plans of mice or men that go the way we hope.

Anyway, here it is; the first and latest issue of Avalon Mists. It took a while to get everything ready for this inaugral issue, and I for nne now understand a lot of what my predecessor went through; editing copy, fixing picture formats, doing webdesign work... stressful, indeed, but certainly not as I could have forseen.

But, would I quit this? Heck no! In the words of Pacino in "Scent of a Woman": I'm just gettin' WARMED UP! (grin!).

As I type this, the Gathering 2002 has come to a close. Hope everyone had a great time there...and for those that attended or didn't get to, I'll have a pair of themed contests tailor-made just for you. Having missed this one and the previous two in 2000 and 2001, I have high hopes to make the next Gathering in NYC of 2003.

I did get to call up and speak to a couple of the attendees, just before the banquet started to get into full swing... from what I heard, Siryn did a bang-up job with the entire shindig. Kudos to her and the efforts of her and her staff!

I would have more to say, but considering this is the first new issue, I think I'll leave this short for the time being. Big thanks to everyone that contributed, and looking forward to more new stuff in the fall!
